Abstract
Methods for treating erectile dysfunction by administering a human birth tissue material composition are provided. The method includes the step of administering a human birth tissue material composition onto or into an affected penis.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1. A method of treating erectile dysfunction comprising administering an effective amount of a composition comprising a morselized human birth tissue material onto or into an affected penis of a subject in need thereof,
wherein the morselized human birth tissue material comprises one or more components of a placental origin selected from the group consisting of morselized placental globe, morselized umbilical cord, morselized chorionic membrane, and morselized amniotic membrane.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the composition further comprises an agent selected from the group consisting of PDE-5 inhibitor, PGE-1, papaverine, promorphine, or any combination thereof.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein up to about 30 cubic centimeters of the composition is administered into a corpora cavernosum of the penis.
4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the composition is administered via one or more injections.
5. The method of claim 4 , wherein one injection is at the base of each side of the penis for a total of two injections.
6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the two injections are carried out over a four minute period.
7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the composition is delivered in the form of a topical application, urethral suppository, intracavernous injection, or a combination thereof.
8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the composition is a cream, emulsion, spray, gel, ointment, salve, butter, gel, putty, balm, or pliable stick.
9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more components of a placental organ are cryopreserved prior to morselization.
10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the morselized placental tissue component(s) is/are homogenized in a tissue suspension solution to form the morselized human birth tissue material composition.
11. The method of claim 10 , wherein the tissue suspension solution includes Plasma Lyte-A, human albumin 25% solution, and dimethyl sulfoxide.Cited by (0)
