Pharmacological inhaler
Abstract
The inhaler has a casing (100,150) with a fitted special mouthpiece (900), shrouded by a removable protective cap (950). The casing holds a slide valve guide rail (200), a metering slide valve (300), a closure, a slide, a funnel, counter (700), valve cover (800) and valve guide (850). When the protective cover (950) is removed, the powder for inhalation is metered in a trip action, and a dose is contained within the dose cavity to be carried by the metering slide valve (300) to the mouthpiece (900). The closure is only displaced by the valve cover (800) by a min. inhalation intensity, for the powder dose to be released for inhalation. If the inhaler is used with an electronic module, and a controlled nozzle, the relevant inhalation data can be determined for controlled flow conditions.
