Developing agent for silver halide photographic material, developing solution composition and method for developing silver halide photographic material
Abstract
A silver halide photographic material is processed with a developing solution containing at least one kind of developing agent represented by the following general formula (A): ##STR1## wherein R 1 and R 2 may be the same or different, and each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, with the proviso that R 1 and R 2 are not methyl groups at the same time nor a combination of a hydrogen atom and a methyl group, thereby providing a novel method for forming an image by use of the developing solution not using a dihydroxybenzene compound as the developing agent, and more particularly a superhigh contrast negative image by use of the photographic material containing a hydrazine compound.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A method for processing a silver halide photographic material comprising processing the silver halide photographic material exposed with a developing solution containing at least one kind of developing agent represented by the following general formula (A): ##STR19## wherein R 1 and R 2 may be the same or different, and each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, with the proviso that R 1 and R 2 are not methyl groups at the same time nor a combination of a hydrogen atom and a methyl group.
2. A method for processing a silver halide photographic material containing a hydrazine nucleating agent, comprising processing the silver halide photographic material exposed with a developing solution containing at least one developing agent represented by the following formula (A): ##STR20## wherein R 1 and R 2 may be the same or different, and each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, with the proviso that R 1 and R 2 are not methyl groups at the same time nor a combination of a hydrogen atom and a methyl group.
3. The method for processing a silver halide photographic material containing a hydrazine nucleating agent as claimed in claim 2, wherein said developing solution further comprises (a) 0.1 mol/liter or more of a sulfite, and (b) a 1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidone auxiliary developing agent and/or an aminophenol auxiliary developing agent, and does not substantially contain a dihydroxybenzene compound.
4. The method for processing a silver halide photographic material containing a hydrazine nucleating agent as claimed in claim 2, wherein said silver halide photographic material further comprises a nucleating accelerator.
5. A method for processing a silver halide photographic material containing a tabular silver halide emulsion, comprising processing the silver halide photographic material exposed with a developing solution containing at least one developing agent represented by the following formula (A): ##STR21## wherein R 1 and R 2 may be the same or different, and each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, with the proviso that R 1 and R 2 are not methyl groups at the same time nor a combination of a hydrogen atom and a methyl group.Cited by (0)
