Malus sargentii plant named ‘Select A’

Abstract

A distinctive variety of Malus sargentii, most often referred to as a flowering crabapple tree, possesses a compact, upright growth habit, a colorful persistent fruit that remains ornamental long into the winter and is resistant to Apple Scab disease.

I claim:  
     
       1. A new and distinct variety of hybrid crabapple tree substantially as herein shown and described, characterized by its compact, upright growth habit which spreads upon maturity and its Colorful persistent fruit that remains ornamental much later into the winter season than  Malus sargentii .
