A new and distinct cultivar of Ajuga named ‘Black Scallop’ that is characterized by dense compact habit, large round dark maroon-purple leaves and fragrant dark violet flowers. In combination these traits set ‘Black Scallop’ apart from all other existing varieties of Ajuga known to the inventor.
