Abstract

A new and distinct cultivar of Hydrangea plant named ‘Hortmabluebel’, characterized by its upright to broadly spreading plant habit; moderately vigorous to vigorous growth habit and moderate to rapid growth rate; freely branching habit with strong and thick sturdy stems; mophead-type inflorescences with large red purple-colored sterile flowers that can be easily “blued”; and good postproduction longevity.
