Abstract
Thermoplastic resin compositions comprising polyarylate and polyamide resins as main components, polyethylene terephthalate and an epoxy resin of the following formula [1] in a predetermined amount are provided. ##STR1## The thermoplastic resin compositions of the invention have good impact strength along with good heat and solvent resistances and good moldability.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A thermoplastic resin composition which comprises 100 parts by weight of a resin composition which comprises 100 parts by weight of a resin mixture consisting essentially of not less than 10 wt % of a polyarylate resin, not less than 20 wt % of a polyamide resin and from 3 to 60 wt % of a polyethylene terephthalate resin, and from 0.1 to 15 parts by weight of an epoxy resin of the following formula [1] ##STR25## wherein X represents a direct bond, a lower alkylene group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, .Iadd.a lower alkylidene group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, .Iaddend. ##STR26## --SO 2 --, --O--, or --S-- wherein part or all of the hydrogen atoms of X may be substituted with a halogen atom if X represents any hydrocarbon defined above, R's independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and n is an integer of 1 to 20.
2. A thermoplastic resin composition according to claim 1, wherein, in the formula [1], n is from 6 to 20.
3. A thermoplastic resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the amount of said polyarylate resin is from 15 to 45 wt %, the amount of said polyamide resin is from 45 to 65 wt % and the amount of said polyethylene terephthalate resin is from 7 to 35 wt % and said epoxy resin is from 2 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the total of said polyarylate resin, said polyamide resin and said polyethylene terephthalate resin.Cited by (0)
