       10. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is non-small cell lung cancer.

       11. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is prostate cancer.

       12. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is pancreatic cancer.

       13. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is lymphoma.

       14. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is melanoma.

       15. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is small cell lung cancer.

       16. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is ovarian cancer.

       17. The A method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is of treating colon cancer in a mammal in need thereof, which comprises providing to said mammal a synergistically effective amount of a combination comprising rapamycin 42 - ester with 3 - hydroxy - 2 ( hydroxymethyl )- 2 - methylpropionic acid ( CCI - 779 ) and 4 - dimethylamino - but - 2 - enoic acid [ 4 -( 3 - chloro - 4 - fluoro - phenylamino )- 3 - cyano - 7 - ethoxy - quinolin - 6 - yl] - amide ( EKB - 569 ).

       18. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is esophageal cancer.

       19. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is gastric cancer.

       20. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is leukemia.

       21. The A method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is of treating colorectal cancer in a mammal in need thereof, which comprises providing to said mammal a synergistically effective amount of a combination comprising rapamycin 42 - ester with 3 - hydroxy - 2 ( hydroxymethyl )- 2 - methylpropionic acid ( CCI - 779 ) and 4 - dimethylamino - but - 2 - enoic acid [ 4 -( 3 - chloro - 4 - fluoro - phenylamino )- 3 - cyano - 7 - ethoxy - quinolin - 6 - yl] - amide ( EKB - 569 ).

       22. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the neoplasm is unknown primary cancer.

       23. A method of treating a neoplasm in which uncontrolled cell proliferation results from deregulation of epidermal growth factor receptor ( EGFR ) kinase in a mammal in need thereof, which comprises providing to said mammal an effective amount of a synergistic combination comprising rapamycin 42 - ester with 3 - hydroxy - 2 -( hydroxymethyl )- 2 - methylpropionic acid (CCI-779) and 4 - dimethylamino - but - 2 - enoic acid [ 4 -( 3 - chloro - 4 - fluoro - phenylamino )- 3 - cyano - 7 - ethoxy - quinolin - 6 - yl] - amide (EKB-569), wherein either CCI-779, EKB-569, or both are provided in subtherapeutically effective amounts.
