Spinning reel for fishing

Abstract

A spinning reel for fishing includes: a reel body including a front portion; a handle provided in the reel body; a cap-shaped cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body; a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound; a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool; a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor; a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body and including a magnet, a cylindrical magnetic body forming a magnetic circuit between the magnetic body and the magnet and magnetic fluid maintained between the magnet and the magnetic ring.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor that includes a cylindrical portion accommodating the front portion of the reel body and a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool, an opening being formed radially through the cylindrical portion of the rotor;   a driving part transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and   a magnetic seal device arranged between the driving part and the support part.   
     
     
       2. The spinning reel according to  claim 1  further comprising a cap-shaped cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body,
 wherein the magnetic seal device is mounted in a front portion of the cover body, and 
 wherein the driving part passes through the front portion of the cover body. 
 
     
     
       3. The spinning reel according to  claim 2 , wherein the magnetic seal device is arranged on a surface substantially flush with the front surface of the cover body, as not to protrude over the surface. 
     
     
       4. The spinning reel according to  claim 3 , wherein the magnetic seal device includes a magnet, a cylindrical magnetic body forming a magnetic circuit between the magnetic body and the magnet and magnetic fluid maintained between the magnet and the magnetic ring. 
     
     
       5. The spinning reel according to  claim 3  further comprising a rolling type one-way clutch allowing the rotation of the driving part in one direction and preventing the rotation of the driving part in the other direction,
 wherein the magnetic body functions as an inner race of the one-way clutch. 
 
     
     
       6. The spinning reel according to  claim 1 , wherein the opening of the rotor has a rectangular shape. 
     
     
       7. The spinning reel according to  claim 1 , wherein the rotor includes a triangle-shaped notch opening. 
     
     
       8. The spinning reel according to  claim 1 , wherein the rotor includes a pair of arms formed at opposite sides of the cylindrical portion of the rotor, and a curved reinforcing member connecting the cylindrical portion of the rotor and the pair of the arms. 
     
     
       9. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cap-shaped cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body and including a magnet, a cylindrical magnetic body forming a magnetic circuit between the magnetic body and the magnet and magnetic fluid maintained between the magnet and the magnetic ring.   
     
     
       10. The spinning reel according to  claim 9 , wherein the magnetic seal device is arranged on a surface substantially flush with the front surface of the cover body, as not to protrude over the surface. 
     
     
       11. The spinning reel according to  claim 10  further comprising a rolling type one-way clutch allowing the rotation of the driving part in one direction and preventing the rotation of the driving part in the other direction,
 wherein the magnetic body functions as an inner race of the one-way clutch. 
 
     
     
       12. The spinning reel according to  claim 9 , wherein the rotor includes a pair of arms formed at opposite sides of the cylindrical portion of the rotor, and a curved reinforcing member connecting the cylindrical portion of the rotor and the pair of the arms. 
     
     
       13. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cap-shaped cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body and including a magnet, a cylindrical magnetic body forming a magnetic circuit between the magnetic body and the magnet and magnetic fluid maintained between the magnet and the magnetic body,
 wherein the cylindrical magnetic body is fitted unrotatably with respect to the driving part. 
   
     
     
       14. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cap-shaped cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part;   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body and including a magnet, a cylindrical magnetic body forming a magnetic circuit between the magnetic body and the magnet and magnetic fluid maintained between the magnet and the magnetic body; and   a rolling type one-way clutch allowing rotation of the driving part in a first direction and preventing rotation of the driving part in a second, opposite direction, the one-way clutch including an inner race, an outer race, and one or more rolling members disposed between the inner race and the outer race, wherein the magnetic body is configured to function as an inner race of the one-way clutch, wherein the magnetic seal device further includes a magnetic ring, and wherein the inner race includes an extended portion extending forwardly so as to be opposed to an inner edge of the magnetic ring, a front edge of the extended portion being anterior to a front edge of the outer race.   
     
     
       15. The spinning reel according to claim 14,
 wherein the rotor includes a cylindrical portion attached to the driving part; and   wherein the extended portion is configured to surround at least a portion of the cylindrical portion of the rotor.   
     
     
       16. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cap-shaped cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body and including a magnet, a cylindrical magnetic body forming a magnetic circuit between the magnetic body and the magnet and magnetic fluid maintained between the magnet and the magnetic body,
 wherein the cover body is made of resin, is detachably attached to the reel body, and includes an outer surrounding portion, an inner surrounding portion arranged radially inside the outer surrounding portion, and a front end connecting portion connecting the inner surrounding portion and the outer surrounding portion, the spinning reel further including an O-ring disposed between the outer surrounding portion and the reel body. 
   
     
     
       17. The spinning reel according to claim 16, wherein a plurality of ridges are formed on an outer surface of the outer surrounding portion. 
     
     
       18. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cap-shaped cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body and including a magnet, a cylindrical magnetic body forming a magnetic circuit between the magnetic body and the magnet and magnetic fluid maintained between the magnet and the magnetic body,
 wherein the cover body is made of resin; and 
 wherein the magnetic seal device further includes a magnetic ring, wherein the reel body is made of metal, wherein the magnetic ring includes a front ring element and a rear ring element, and wherein the front ring element is maintained by a head of a bolt and a front surface of the cover body, the bolt being screw-coupled to the reel body. 
   
     
     
       19. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cap-shaped cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body and including a magnet, a cylindrical magnetic body forming a magnetic circuit between the magnetic body and the magnet and magnetic fluid maintained between the magnet and the magnetic body,
 wherein the cover body is made of resin; 
 wherein the magnetic seal device further includes a magnetic ring, wherein the reel body is made of metal, wherein the magnetic ring includes a front ring element and a rear ring element, and wherein the front ring element is maintained by a head of a bolt and a front surface of the cover body, the bolt being screw-coupled to the reel body; 
 wherein the cover body includes an outer surrounding portion, inner surrounding portion arranged radially inside the outer surrounding portion, and a front end connecting portion connecting the inner surrounding portion and the outer surrounding portion; and 
 wherein the bolt is introduced into a space between the outer surrounding portion and the inner surrounding portion, the bolt being screw-coupled to a screw hole formed in the reel body. 
   
     
     
       20. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body, wherein the magnetic seal device includes a magnet, a magnetic ring, a cylindrical magnetic body and magnetic fluid, the magnetic fluid being maintained by a magnetic circuit formed by the magnet, magnetic ring and the cylindrical magnetic body,
 wherein the cylindrical magnetic body is fitted unrotatably with respect to the driving part. 
   
     
     
       21. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part;   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body, wherein the magnetic seal device includes a magnet, a magnetic ring, a cylindrical magnetic body and magnetic fluid, the magnetic fluid being maintained by a magnetic circuit formed by the magnet, magnetic ring and the cylindrical magnetic body; and   a rolling type one-way clutch allowing rotation of the driving part in a first direction and preventing rotation of the driving part in a second, opposite direction, wherein the magnetic body is configured to function as an inner race of the one-way clutch, wherein the inner race includes an extended portion extending forwardly so as to be opposed to an inner edge of the magnetic ring, a front edge of the extended portion being anterior to a front edge of the outer race.   
     
     
       22. The spinning reel according to claim 21,
 wherein the rotor includes a cylindrical portion attached to the driving part; and   wherein the extended portion is configured to surround at least a portion of the cylindrical portion of the rotor.   
     
     
       23. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body, wherein the magnetic seal device includes a magnet, a magnetic ring, a cylindrical magnetic body and magnetic fluid, the magnetic fluid being maintained by a magnetic circuit formed by the magnet, magnetic ring and the cylindrical magnetic body,
 wherein the cover body is made of resin; 
 wherein the cover body is detachably attached to the reel body; and 
 wherein the cover body includes an outer surrounding portion, an inner surrounding portion arranged radially inside the outer surrounding portion, and a front end connecting portion connecting the inner surrounding portion and the outer surrounding portion, the spinning reel further including an O-ring disposed between the outer surrounding portion and the reel body. 
   
     
     
       24. The spinning reel according to claim 23, wherein a plurality of ridges are formed on an outer surface of the outer surrounding portion. 
     
     
       25. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body, wherein the magnetic seal device includes a magnet, a magnetic ring, a cylindrical magnetic body and magnetic fluid, the magnetic fluid being maintained by a magnetic circuit formed by the magnet, magnetic ring and the cylindrical magnetic body,
 wherein the cover body is made of resin; and 
 wherein the reel body is made of metal, wherein the magnetic ring includes a front ring element and a rear ring element, and wherein the front ring element is maintained by a head of a bolt and a front surface of the cover body, the bolt being screw-coupled to the reel body. 
   
     
     
       26. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
 a reel body including a front portion;   a handle provided in the reel body;   a cover body including a surrounding wall mounted in the front portion of the reel body;   a spool on which a fishing line is to be wound;   a rotor including a fishing line guide part, the rotor being rotated by the rotational manipulation of the handle to wind the fishing line on the spool;   a driving part passing through the cover body and transmitting the rotation of the handle to the rotor;   a support part provided in the front portion of the reel body and supporting the driving part; and   a magnetic seal device mounted in the cover body, wherein the magnetic seal device includes a magnet, a magnetic ring, a cylindrical magnetic body and magnetic fluid, the magnetic fluid being maintained by a magnetic circuit formed by the magnet, magnetic ring and the cylindrical magnetic body,
 wherein the cover body is made of resin; 
 wherein the reel body is made of metal, wherein the magnetic ring includes a front ring element and a rear ring element, and wherein the front ring element is maintained by a head of a bolt and a front surface of the cover body, the bolt being screw-coupled to the reel body; 
 wherein the cover body includes an outer surrounding portion, an inner surrounding portion arranged radially inside the outer surrounding portion, and a front end connecting portion connecting the inner surrounding portion and the outer surrounding portion; and 
 wherein the bolt is introduced into a space between the outer surrounding portion and the inner surrounding portion, the bolt being screw-coupled to a screw hole formed in the reel body.
