Smart alarm

Abstract

Providing personalized content comprises discovering personal information using an electronic device. Services information related to the personal information is obtained using the electronic device. Personalized content is provided based on applying the services information to the personal information.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. A method for providing personalized content a reminder using an electronic device, the method comprising:
 discoveringproviding personal information using an electronic deviceto a server, wherein the personal information comprises updated personal planned daily event information for one or more events previously entered into one or more applications executed by the electronic device through a user interface; 
 obtaining services informationrelated to, wherein the services information is based on the personal information using the electronic device and one or more learned travel habits obtained from travel history of the electronic device; and 
 providing personalized content via the reminder that is based on applying the services information to and the personal information, 
 wherein the reminder is provided automatically without a prior user input to set the reminder to be provided, 
 wherein the personalized content comprises a departure time recommendation, travel time, route information, and destination information, and 
 wherein the services information comprises travel time, destination location information, and a traffic condition. 
 
     
     
       2. The method of  claim 1 , wherein the personal information further comprises historical travel information the travel history of the electronic device and one or more of changeable: calendar information, location information, and or communication information. 
     
     
       3. The method of  claim 2 , wherein the calendar information comprises daily scheduled appointment information that comprises one or more of appointment location, event start time, event end time, and or participants. 
     
     
       4. The method of  claim 3 , wherein services information is related to personal planned daily events and comprises weather information, traffic information, location information and wait time information. 
     
     
       5. The method of claim  4  3, wherein providing the personalized content further comprises providing one or more of clothing suggestions, accessory suggestionsbased on weather information, departure recommendations based on appointment schedules, traffic conditions, and historical travel information or weather conditions. 
     
     
       6. The method of  claim 5 , wherein providing the personalized content further comprises providing point of interest (POI) information based on appointment location. 
     
     
       7. The method of  claim 6 , further comprising:
 updating contact information based on changed location information and appointment location information. 
 
     
     
       8. The method of  claim 5 , further comprising:
 aggregating multiple event information for providing updated calendaring timing information impacted by aggregated multiple event information. 
 
     
     
       9. The method of  claim 8 , wherein the multiple event information comprises length of time that each of the multiple events consumes. 
     
     
       10. The method of claim of  claim 1 ,
 further comprising: notifying the electronic device with one or more reminderswherein the reminder is based on an updated change in travel time, and 
 wherein a the reminder comprises a notification for modifying future appointment time schedule based on updated traffic information and estimated travel time. 
 
     
     
       11. The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 automatically providing local maps and points of interest (POI) information based on travel plans, wherein the local maps and POI information are displayed on the electronic device. 
 
     
     
       12. The method of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 creating a dynamic address book based on the POI information. 
 
     
     
       13. The method of  claim 12 , further comprising:
 enabling temporary sharing of location data for locating contacts. 
 
     
     
       14. The method of  claim 13 , further comprising:
 using favorite local POI information for applying to an appointment location for finding similar POI information in the appointment location. 
 
     
     
       15. The method of  claim 14 , further comprising:
 analyzing communication information and appointment location for determining POI suggestions and providing the suggested POI information on a map; and 
 tracking user behavior for obtaining the historical travel information, 
 wherein the historical travel information comprises one or more of travel time between locations, driving habits, and or calendar appointment punctuality. 
 
     
     
       16. The method of  claim 1 , wherein the electronic device comprises a wireless mobile communication device. 
     
     
       17. An electronic device, comprising:
 at least one memory storing instructions; and 
 aat least one processor device configured to execute the instructions to:
 discover, by an alarm manager,control to provide personal information to a server, wherein the personal information comprises updated planned personal daily event information for one or more events previously entered into one or more applications executed by the electronic device; and 
 control to obtain, by a communication interface, services informationrelated to, wherein the services information is based on the personal information; and 
 
 a graphical user interface that provides personalized content via the electronic device based on the services information and one or more learned travel habits obtained from travel history of the electronic device, and
 control to provide personalized content via a reminder that is based on the services information and the personal information, 
 
 wherein the reminder is provided automatically without a prior user input to set the reminder to be provided, 
 wherein the personalized content comprises a departure time recommendation, travel time, route information, and destination information, and 
 wherein the services information comprises travel time, destination location information, and a traffic condition. 
 
     
     
       18. The electronic device of  claim 17 ,
 wherein: the personal information further comprises historical travel information the travel history of the electronic device and one or more of changeable: calendar information, location information, and or communication information;, and 
 wherein the calendar information comprises daily appointment information including one or more of scheduled appointment location, event start time, event end timeand, or participants; and 
 the services information is related to personal planned daily events and comprises weather information, traffic information, location information and wait time information.

The electronic device of  claim 18 , wherein the personalized content further comprises one or more of clothing suggestions, and accessory suggestionsbased on weather information, departure recommendations based on one or more of appointment schedules, traffic conditions, or weather conditionsand historical travel information. 
     
     
       20. The electronic device of  claim 18 , wherein the personalized content further comprises point of interest (POI) information based on appointment location. 
     
     
       21. The electronic device of  claim 17 ,
 wherein: the alarm manager updates the at least one processor is further configured to update contact information based on changed location information and appointment location information, and aggregates aggregate multiple event information for providing updated calendaring timing information impacted by aggregated multiple event information to a calendar application of the electronic device;, and 
 wherein the multiple event information comprises length of time that each of the multiple events consumes. 
 
     
     
       22. The electronic device of  claim 17 ,
 wherein: the processor is further configured to provide, via a notification interface, one or more reminders the reminder is based on updated change in travel time;, and 
 awherein the reminder comprises a notification for modifying future appointment time schedule based on updated traffic information and estimated travel time. 
 
     
     
       23. The electronic device of  claim 22 ,
 wherein: the at least one processor is further configured to:
 automatically provide, via an event manager, local maps and points of interest (POI) information based on travel plans, 
 createscreate a dynamic address book based on the POI information, 
 enablesenable temporary sharing of location data for locating contacts, 
 usesuse favorite local POI information for applying to an appointment location for finding similar POI information in the appointment location, 
 analyzesanalyze communication information and appointment location for determining POI suggestions and providing the suggested POI information on a map display, and 
 trackstrack user behavior for obtaining the historical travel information;, and 
 
 wherein the historical travel information comprises one or more of travel time between locations, driving habits, andor appointment punctuality. 
 
     
     
       24. A server comprising:
 at least one memory storing instructions; and 
 aat least one processor device configured to execute the instructions to:
 control to obtain, via a smart engine, personal information from an electronic device, wherein the personal information comprises updated personal planned daily event information for one or more events previously entered into one or more applications executed by the electronic device; 
 control to obtain, via a services content interface, services information, wherein the services information is based on the personal information and one or more learned travel habits obtained from travel history of the electronic device; and 
 transmit, via a communication interface,control to provide the services information to the electronic device for updating calendar information and for providing a reminder based on the services information and the personal information, 
 
 wherein the reminder is provided automatically without a prior user input to set the reminder to be provided, 
 wherein the reminder comprises a departure time recommendation, travel time, route information, and destination information, and 
 wherein the services information comprises travel time, destination location information, and a traffic condition. 
 
     
     
       25. The server of  claim 24 ,
 wherein: the personal information further comprises historical travel information the travel history of the electronic device and one or more of changeable: calendar information, location information, and or communication information;, and 
 wherein the calendar information comprises daily appointment information including one or more of scheduled appointment location, event start time, event end time and or participants; and 
 the services information is related to personal planned daily events and comprises weather information, traffic information, location information, and wait time information. 
 
     
     
       26. The server of  claim 24 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:
 obtain, via a notification interface, personal information from the electronic device, wherein the communication interface transmits notification information to the electronic device. 
 
     
     
       27. The server of  claim 26 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:
 provide, via a notification service interface, one or more reminders the reminder to the electronic device based on updated travel time, 
 wherein a the reminder comprises a notification for modifying future appointment time schedule based on updated traffic information and estimated travel time. 
 
     
     
       28. The server of  claim 27 ,
 wherein: 
 the notification interface communicates to an event manager of the electronic device for the at least one processor is further configured to:
 automatically providing provide, to the electronic device, local maps and points of interest (POI) information based on travel plans;, 
 the event manager createscreate a dynamic address book based on the POI information, 
 enablesenable temporary sharing of location data for locating contacts, 
 usesuse favorite local POI information for applying to an appointment location for finding similar POI information in the appointment location, 
 analyzesanalyze communication information and appointment location for determining POI suggestions and providing the suggested POI information on a map display, and 
 tracks usertrack behavior for obtaining the historical travel information;, and 
 
 wherein the historical travel information comprises one or more of travel time between locations, driving habits, andor appointment punctuality. 
 
     
     
       29. A graphical user interface (GUI) displayed on a display of an electronic device, the GUI comprising:
 an alarma reminder display including suggestions related to servicesbased on services information; and 
 a scheduled event display including changeable update indications based on the services information and information showing impacts to the a scheduled event, 
 wherein the services information is obtained based on personal planned user daily event information for one or more events previously entered into one or more applications executed by the electronic device and one or more learned travel habits obtained from travel history of the electronic device, 
 wherein the reminder is provided automatically without a prior user input to set the reminder to be provided, 
 wherein the reminder comprises a departure time recommendation, travel time, route information, and destination information, and 
 wherein the services information comprises travel time, destination location information, and a traffic condition. 
 
     
     
       30. The GUI of  claim 29 , wherein the alarm reminder display is automatically updated based on the services traffic information. 
     
     
       31. A method for providing a reminder with respect to an application of an electronic device, the method comprising:
 providing, to a server, personal information for a plurality of events previously entered through the application, wherein at least one of the plurality of events is updatable through the application;   obtaining services information, wherein the services information is based on the personal information and one or more learned travel habits obtained from travel history of the electronic device; and   providing a reminder for one of the plurality of events that is based on the services information and the personal information,   wherein the reminder is provided automatically without a prior user input to set the reminder to be provided,   wherein the reminder comprises a departure time recommendation, travel time, route information, and destination information, and   wherein the services information comprises travel time, destination location information, and a traffic condition.   
     
     
       32. The method of claim 31, wherein the personal information comprises appointment information that includes one or more of an appointment location, an event start time, an event end time, or one or more participant. 
     
     
       33. The method of claim 31, wherein the services information further comprises wait time information. 
     
     
       34. The method of claim 31, wherein the reminder further comprises a traffic condition. 
     
     
       35. An electronic device, comprising:
 at least one memory storing instructions; and   at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to:
 control to provide, to a server, personal information for a plurality of events previously entered through an application, wherein at least one of the plurality of events is updatable through the application, 
 control to obtain services information, wherein the services information is based on the personal information and one or more learned travel habits obtained from travel history of the electronic device, and 
 control to provide a reminder for one of the plurality of events that is based on the services information and the personal information, 
   wherein the reminder is provided automatically without a prior user input to set the reminder to be provided,   wherein the reminder comprises a departure time recommendation, travel time, route information, and destination information, and   wherein the services information comprises travel time, destination location information, and a traffic condition.   
     
     
       36. The electronic device of claim 35,
 wherein each of the plurality of events comprises appointment information including one or more of an appointment location, an event start time, or an event end time.   
     
     
       37. The electronic device of claim 35, wherein the reminder further comprises a traffic condition. 
     
     
       38. A server comprising:
 at least one memory storing instructions; and   at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to:
 control to obtain, from an electronic device, personal information for a plurality of events, wherein at least one of the plurality of events is updatable through an application, 
 control to obtain services information, wherein the services information is based on the personal information and one or more learned travel information habits obtained from travel history of the electronic device, and 
 control to provide the services information to the electronic device such that the electronic device provides a reminder for one of the plurality of events that is based on the services information and the personal information, 
   wherein the reminder is provided automatically without a prior user input to set the reminder to be provided,   wherein the reminder comprises a departure time recommendation, travel time, route information, and destination information, and   wherein the services information comprises travel time, destination location information, and a traffic condition.   
     
     
       39. The server of claim 38,
 wherein the services information further comprises wait time information.   
     
     
       40. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium with instructions stored thereon, the instructions executable by at least one processor of an electronic device to cause the at least one processor to perform a method comprising:
 providing, to a server, personal information for a plurality of events previously entered through an application, wherein at least one of the plurality of events is updatable through the application;   obtaining services information wherein the services information is based on the personal information and one or more learned travel habits obtained from travel history of the electronic device; and   providing a reminder for one of the plurality of events that is based on the services information and the personal information,   wherein the reminder is provided automatically without a prior user input to set the reminder to be provided,   wherein the reminder comprises a departure time recommendation, travel time, route information, and destination information, and   wherein the services information comprises travel time, destination location information, and a traffic condition.   
     
     
       41. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 40, wherein the personal information comprises appointment information that includes one or more of an appointment location, an event start time, an event end time, or one or more participant. 
     
     
       42. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 40, wherein the services information further comprises wait time information. 
     
     
       43. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 40, wherein the reminder further comprises a traffic condition.
