Claims

Abstract

Provided are an uplink transmission method and downlink transmission method in a mobile communication network including a relay. In the uplink and downlink transmission methods, frame structures and transmission timings of a backhaul downlink and a backhaul uplink are determined in consideration of at least one of a time for the relay to switch between transmission and reception and a signal transmission time. Accordingly, in a wireless communication system including a relay, it is possible to effectively perform data transmission and reception between the relay and a base station.

The invention claimed is: 
     
       1. A downlink transmission method of by a base station in a mobile communication network including to a relay station, comprising:
 transmitting information on a first location of a first symbol of backhaul downlink symbols by radio resource control (RRC) signaling; and 
 transmitting a backhaul downlink signal to the relay using station, wherein the downlink signal comprises the backhaul downlink symbols, the backhaul downlink symbols starting from the a second location corresponding to a subsequent symbol of at least one excluded symbol of a base station access downlink subframe transmitted by the base station and ending with the at a third location corresponding to a last symbol of the base station access downlink subframe, 
 wherein the at least one excluded symbol includes a predetermined number of symbols beginning with the first symbol of the base station access downlink subframe, 
 wherein the at least one excluded symbol is the first symbol, the first and second symbols, or the first to third symbols of the base station access downlink subframe, and 
 wherein information on the location of the first symbol of the backhaul downlink symbols is transmitted by radio resource control (RRC) signaling, 
 in case the base station access downlink subframe includes 14 symbols, the RRC signaling informs the relay station that the backhaul downlink symbols are from the 2 nd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, from the 3 rd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, or from the 4 th  symbol to the 14 th  symbol. 
 
     
     
       2. The downlink transmission method of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one excluded symbol is determined in consideration of at least one of at least based on a time for the relay station to switch between transmission and reception and a signal transmission time. 
     
     
       3. A downlink transmission method of a base station in a mobile communication network including a relay, comprising:
 transmitting a backhaul downlink signal to the relay using backhaul downlink symbols starting from the subsequent symbol of at least one excluded symbol of a base station access downlink subframe and ending with the second to the last symbol of the base station access downlink subframe,   wherein the at least one excluded symbol includes a predetermined number of symbols beginning with the first symbol of the base station access downlink subframe,   wherein the at least one excluded symbol is the first symbol, the first and second symbols, or the first to third symbols of the base station access downlink subframe,   wherein information on the location of the first symbol of the backhaul downlink symbols is transmitted by radio resource control (RRC) signaling,   in case the base station access downlink subframe includes 14 symbols, the RRC signaling informs the relay that the backhaul downlink symbols are from the 2 nd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, from the 3 rd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, or from the 4 th  symbol to the 14 th  symbol.   
     
     
       4. A method for a relay to receive a downlink signal from a base station, comprising:
 receiving a backhaul downlink signal from the base station using backhaul downlink symbols starting from the subsequent symbol of at least one excluded symbol of a base station access downlink subframe and ending with the last symbol of the base station access downlink subframe,   wherein the at least one excluded symbol includes a predetermined number of symbols beginning with the first symbol of the base station access downlink subframe,   wherein the at least one excluded symbol is the first symbol, the first and second symbols, or the first to third symbols of the base station access downlink subframe,   wherein information on the location of the first symbol of the backhaul downlink symbols is transmitted by radio resource control (RRC) signaling,   in case the base station access downlink subframe includes 14 symbols, the RRC signaling informs the relay that the backhaul downlink symbols are from the 2 nd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, from the 3 rd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, or from the 4 th  symbol to the 14 th  symbol.   
     
     
       5. A method for a relay to receive a downlink from a base station in a mobile communication network, comprising:
 receiving a backhaul downlink signal using backhaul downlink symbols starting from the subsequent symbol of at least one excluded symbol of a base station access downlink subframe and ending with the second to the last symbol of the base station access downlink subframe,   wherein the at least one excluded symbol includes a predetermined number of symbols beginning with the first symbol of the base station access downlink subframe,   wherein the at least one excluded symbol is the first symbol, the first and second symbols, or the first to third symbols of the base station access downlink subframe,   wherein information on the location of the first symbol of the backhaul downlink symbols is transmitted by radio resource control (RRC) signaling,   in case the base station access downlink subframe includes 14 symbols, the RRC signaling informs the relay that the backhaul downlink symbols are from the 2 nd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, from the 3 rd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, or from the 4 th  symbol to the 14 th  symbol.   
     
     
       6. The transmission method of claim 1, wherein the relay station transmits a relay access downlink subframe to a terminal when the relay station receives the backhaul downlink subframe, and the relay station transmits information to the terminal indicating that the relay access downlink subframe is a Multicast Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN). 
     
     
       7. The transmission method of claim 6, wherein the relay station provides a guard period after the location of the first symbol during which the relay station does not transmit any downlink signal to the terminal. 
     
     
       8. The transmission method of claim 6, wherein a number of symbols which the base station uses to transmit a control channel is equal to the one, two, or three symbols. 
     
     
       9. A communication method by a relay station, comprising:
 receiving information from a base station on a first location of a first symbol of a set of downlink symbols by radio resource control (RRC) signaling; and   receiving a downlink signal from a base station, wherein the downlink signal comprises the backhaul downlink symbols, the backhaul downlink symbols starting from a second location corresponding to a subsequent symbol of at least one excluded symbol of a downlink subframe transmitted by the base station and ending at a third location corresponding to a last symbol of the downlink subframe,   wherein the at least one excluded symbol includes a predetermined number of symbols beginning with the first symbol of the downlink subframe,   wherein the at least one excluded symbol is the first symbol, the first and second symbols, or the first to third symbols of the downlink subframe, and   in case the downlink subframe includes 14 symbols, the RRC signaling informs the relay station that the backhaul downlink symbols are from the 3 rd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, or from the 4 th  symbol to the 14 th  symbol.   
     
     
       10. The communication method of claim 9, wherein the at least one excluded symbol is determined at least based on a time for the relay station to switch between transmission and reception and a signal transmission time. 
     
     
       11. The communication method of claim 9, wherein the relay station transmits a relay access downlink subframe to a terminal when the relay station receives the backhaul downlink subframe, and the relay station transmits information to the terminal indicating that the relay access downlink subframe is a Multicast Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN). 
     
     
       12. The communication method of claim 11, wherein the relay station provides a guard period after the location of the first symbol during which the relay station does not transmit any downlink signal to the terminal. 
     
     
       13. The communication method of claim 11, wherein a number of symbols which the base station uses to transmit a control channel is equal to the one, two, or three symbols. 
     
     
       14. A communication apparatus, comprising:
 a circuitry configured to:
 cause the communication apparatus to receive information from a base station on a first location of a first symbol of a set of downlink symbols by radio resource control (RRC) signaling; and 
 cause the communication apparatus to receive a downlink signal from a base station, wherein the downlink signal comprises the backhaul downlink symbols, the backhaul downlink symbols starting from a second location corresponding to a subsequent symbol of at least one excluded symbol of a downlink subframe transmitted by the base station and ending at a third location corresponding to a last symbol of the downlink subframe, 
   wherein the at least one excluded symbol includes a predetermined number of symbols beginning with the first symbol of the downlink subframe,   wherein the at least one excluded symbol is the first symbol, the first and second symbols, or the first to third symbols of the downlink subframe, and   in case the downlink subframe includes 14 symbols, the RRC signaling informs the communication apparatus that the backhaul downlink symbols are from the 3 rd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, or from the 4 th  symbol to the 14 th  symbol.   
     
     
       15. The communication apparatus of claim 14, wherein the at least one excluded symbol is determined at least based on a time for the communication apparatus to switch between transmission and reception and a signal transmission time. 
     
     
       16. The communication apparatus of claim 14, wherein the communication apparatus transmits a relay access downlink subframe to a terminal when the communication apparatus receives the backhaul downlink subframe, and the communication apparatus transmits information to the terminal indicating that the relay access downlink subframe is a Multicast Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN). 
     
     
       17. The communication apparatus of claim 16, wherein the communication apparatus provides a guard period after the location of the first symbol during which the communication apparatus does not transmit any downlink signal to the terminal. 
     
     
       18. The communication apparatus of claim 16, wherein a number of symbols which the base station uses to transmit a control channel is equal to the one, two, or three symbols. 
     
     
       19. A communication device for a relay station, the communication device comprising:
 a circuitry configured to:
 cause the relay station to receive information from a base station on a first location of a first symbol of a set of downlink symbols by radio resource control (RRC) signaling; and 
 cause the relay station to receive a downlink signal from a base station, wherein the downlink signal comprises the backhaul downlink symbols, the backhaul downlink symbols starting from a second location corresponding to a subsequent symbol of at least one excluded symbol of a downlink subframe transmitted by the base station and ending at a third location corresponding to a last symbol of the downlink subframe, 
   wherein the at least one excluded symbol includes a predetermined number of symbols beginning with the first symbol of the downlink subframe,   wherein the at least one excluded symbol is the first symbol, the first and second symbols, or the first to third symbols of the downlink subframe, and   in case the downlink subframe includes 14 symbols, the RRC signaling informs the relay station that the backhaul downlink symbols are from the 3 rd  symbol to the 14 th  symbol, or from the 4 th  symbol to the 14 th  symbol.   
     
     
       20. The communication device of claim 19, wherein the at least one excluded symbol is determined at least based on a time for the relay station to switch between transmission and reception and a signal transmission time. 
     
     
       21. The communication device of claim 19, wherein the relay station transmits a relay access downlink subframe to a terminal when the relay station receives the backhaul downlink subframe, and the relay station transmits information to the terminal indicating that the relay access downlink subframe is a Multicast Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN). 
     
     
       22. The communication device of claim 21, wherein the relay station provides a guard period after the location of the first symbol during which the relay station does not transmit any downlink signal to the terminal. 
     
     
       23. The communication device of claim 21, wherein a number of symbols which the base station uses to transmit a control channel is equal to the one, two, or three symbols.
