Image processing apparatus having report printing function, method of controlling image processing apparatus, and storage medium

Abstract

An image processing apparatus that is capable of performing report printing in a language desired by a user in either manual report printing or autonomic report printing. A storage unit stores information on the image processing apparatus. A touch panel receives input from a log-in user A control unit controls execution of the automatic report printing in which the information is printed by the printing unit as a report when predetermined conditions are satisfied, and execution of the manual report printing in which the information is printed by the printing unit as a report based on an instruction from the log-in user. The control unit performs the automatic report printing in a predetermined language and performs the manual report printing in a language for the log-in user.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
 a printing unit; 
 a storage unit configured to store information on the image processing apparatus; 
 a display control unit configured to display an operation screen in a display language associated with a log-in user who has logged in to the image processing apparatus; and 
 a print control unit configured to control execution of manual report printing in which the information is printed by said printing unit as a report, based on an instruction input by using the operation screen displayed in the display language for the log-in user, 
 wherein said print control unit performs executes the manual report printing in the display language for the log-in user, and 
 wherein said print control unit controls execution of automatic report printing in which the information is automatically printed by said printing unit as a report, and said printing unit executes the automatic report printing in a predetermined language. 
 
     
     
       2. The image processing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the information stored in said storage unit includes setting information and history information on the image processing apparatus. 
     
     
       3. The image processing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said display control unit displays information for the log-in user. 
     
     
       4. The image processing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said print control unit controls execution of automatic report printing in which the information is automatically printed by said printing unit as a report, and
 said printing unit performs the automatic report printing in a predetermined language.   
     
     
       5. The image processing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the predetermined language is a display language for an administrator of the image processing apparatus. 
     
     
       6. The image processing apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the display language for the log-in user is a language associated with each user of the image processing apparatus. 
 
     
     
       7. The image processing apparatus according to claim  4  1, wherein results of a plurality of transmission jobs in which image data is sent is stored as transmission log information in said storage unit, and
 the transmission log information stored in said storage unit is printed in the automatic report printing or the manual report printing. 
 
     
     
       8. The image processing apparatus according to  claim 7 , wherein said print control unit controls execution of the automatic report printing when the number of executed transmission jobs reaches a predetermined number. 
     
     
       9. A method of controlling an image processing apparatus including a printing unit and a storage unit, the method comprising:
 storing, in the storage unit, information on the image processing apparatus; 
 displaying an operation screen in a display language associated with a log-in user who has logged in to the image processing apparatus; and 
 controlling execution of manual report printing in which the information is printed by the printing unit as a report, based on an instruction input by using the operation screen displayed in the display language for the log-in user, 
 wherein the manual report printing is performed executed in the display language for the log-in user, and 
 wherein automatic report printing in which the information is automatically printed by said printing unit as a report is executed in a predetermined language. 
 
     
     
       10. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program that, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to perform execute a method of controlling an image processing apparatus including a printing unit and a storage unit,
 the method comprising: 
 storing, in the storage unit, information on the image processing apparatus; 
 displaying an operation screen in a display language associated with a log-in user who has logged in to the image processing apparatus; and 
 controlling execution of manual report printing in which the information is printed by the printing unit as a report, based on an instruction input by using the operation screen displayed in the display language for the log-in user, 
 wherein the manual report printing is performed executed in the display language for the log-in user, and 
 wherein automatic report printing in which the information is automatically printed by said printing unit as a report is executed in a predetermined language. 
 
     
     
       11. A printing apparatus comprising:
 a printing unit   a storage unit configured to store history information of communication executed by the printing apparatus;   a display control unit configured to display, on a display, an operation screen in a display language set in association with a log-in user who logs in to the printing apparatus; and   a print control unit configured to execute manual report printing in which the history information is printed as a report, the manual report printing being triggered by an execution instruction input by the log-in user by using the operation screen displayed in the display language set in association with the log-in user, and to execute automatic report printing in which the history information is printed as a report the automatic report printing being triggered by fulfillment of a condition that has been set based on an instruction by the log-in user,   wherein the print control unit is configured to execute the manual report printing in the display language set in association with the log-in user and to execute, even if the log-in user has logged in to the printing apparatus when the condition is fulfilled, the automatic report printing in a display language independently set of the display language set in association with the log-in user.   
     
     
       12. The printing apparatus according to claim 11,
 wherein the history information is history information of facsimile communication executed by the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       13. The printing apparatus according to claim 11,
 wherein the history information includes at least result of the communication executed by the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       14. The printing apparatus according to claim 11,
 wherein the display language set in association with the log-in user is set based on at least one instruction by a log-in user who has an administrative right and has logged in to the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       15. The printing apparatus according to claim 11,
 wherein the fulfillment of the condition is that the storage unit stores a predetermined amount of the history information.   
     
     
       16. A printing apparatus comprising:
 a printing unit   a storage unit configured to store history information of communication executed by the printing apparatus;   a display control unit configured to display, on a display, an operation screen in a display language set in association with a log-in user who logs in to the printing apparatus; and   a print control unit configured to cause, in response to an execution instruction input by a user by using the operation screen displayed in the display language set in association with the log-in user, the printing unit to print a report of the display language set in association with the log-in user, the report including the history information, and to cause, in response to fulfillment of a condition that has been set by an instruction input by the log-in user, the printing unit to print a report of a display language independently set of the display language set in association with the log-in user, the report including the history information, even if the log-in user has logged in to the printing apparatus when the condition is fulfilled.   
     
     
       17. The printing apparatus according to claim 16,
 wherein the history information is history information of facsimile communication executed by the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       18. The printing apparatus according to claim 16,
 wherein the history information includes at least result of the communication executed by the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       19. The printing apparatus according to claim 16,
 wherein the display language set in association with the log-in user is set based on at least one instruction by a log-in user who has an administrative right and has logged in to the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       20. The printing apparatus according to claim 16,
 wherein the fulfillment of the condition is that the storage unit stores a predetermined amount of the history information.   
     
     
       21. A printing apparatus comprising:
 a printing unit   a storage unit configured to store history information on the printing apparatus;   a display control unit configured to display, on a display, an operation screen in a display language set in association with a log-in user who logs in to the printing apparatus, wherein the displayed operation screen includes an object and the history information; and   a print control unit configured to cause, based on a manual operation by the log-in user to the object on the operation screen displayed in the display language set in association with the log-in user, the printing unit to print a report in which the display language set in association with the log-in user is used and in which the history information is included,   wherein the print control unit is configured to execute a manual report printing in which the printing unit prints the report and that is triggered by the manual operation by the log-in user to the object,   wherein the print control unit is configured to execute automatic report printing in which history information on the printing apparatus is printed as another report the automatic report printing being triggered by fulfillment of a condition that has been set based on an instruction by the log-in user, and   wherein the print control unit is configured to execute, even if the log-in user has logged in to the printing apparatus when the condition is fulfilled, the automatic report printing in a display language independently set of the display language set in association with the log-in user.   
     
     
       22. The printing apparatus according to claim 21,
 wherein the display language set in association with the log-in user is set based on at least one instruction by a log-in user who has an administrative right and has logged in to the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       23. The printing apparatus according to claim 21,
 wherein the history information is the number of sheets on which the printing unit has printed one or more images.   
     
     
       24. The printing apparatus according to claim 21,
 wherein the object is a button to be selected by the log-in user, and   wherein the manual operation by the log-in user to the object is selection of the button by the log-in user.   
     
     
       25. The printing apparatus according to claim 21,
 wherein the print control unit is configured to execute, in response to selection of the object on the operation screen by the log-in user, the manual report printing.   
     
     
       26. A printing apparatus comprising:
 a printing unit;   a storage unit configured to store history information on the printing apparatus;   a display control unit configured to display, on a display, an operation screen in a display language set in association with a log-in user who logs in to the printing apparatus,   wherein the displayed operation screen includes an object and the history information; and   a print control unit configured to cause, based on a manual operation by the log-in user to the object on the operation screen displayed in the display language set in association with the log-in user, the printing unit to print a report of the display language set in association with the log-in user, the report including the history information,   wherein the print control unit is configured to cause, in response to fulfillment of a condition that has been set by an instruction input by the log-in user, the printing unit to print a report of a display language independently set of the display language set in association with the log-in user, the report including history information on the printing apparatus, even if the log-in user has logged in to the printing apparatus when the condition is fulfilled.   
     
     
       27. The printing apparatus according to claim 26,
 wherein the display language set in association with the log-in user is set based on at least one instruction by a log-in user who has an administrative right and has logged in to the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       28. The printing apparatus according to claim 26,
 wherein the history information is the number of sheets on which the printing unit has printed one or more images.   
     
     
       29. The printing apparatus according to claim 26,
 wherein the object is a button to be selected by the log-in user, and   wherein the manual operation by the log-in user to the object is selection of the button by the log-in user.   
     
     
       30. The printing apparatus according to claim 26,
 wherein the print control unit is configured to cause, in response to selection of the object on the operation screen by the log-in user, the printing unit to print the report.   
     
     
       31. A printing apparatus comprising:
 a printing unit;   a storage unit configured to store history information of communication executed by the printing apparatus;   a display control unit configured to display, on a display, an operation screen in a display language set in association with a log-in user who logs in to the printing apparatus; and   a print control unit configured to execute, in response to an execution instruction input by the log-in user by using the operation screen displayed in the display language set in association with the log-in user, manual report printing in which the history information is printed by the printing unit as a report and to automatically execute automatic report printing in which the history information is printed by the printing unit as a report,   wherein the print control unit is configured to execute the manual report printing in the display language set in association with the log-in user and to execute, even if the log-in user has logged in to the printing apparatus when the automatic report printing is executed, the automatic report printing in a display language independently set of the display language set in association with the log-in user.   
     
     
       32. The printing apparatus according to claim 31,
 wherein the history information is history information of facsimile communication executed by the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       33. The printing apparatus according to claim 31,
 wherein the history information includes at least result of the communication executed by the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       34. The printing apparatus according to claim 31,
 wherein the display language set in association with the log-in user is set based on at least one instruction by a log-in user who has an administrative right and has logged in to the printing apparatus.   
     
     
       35. The printing apparatus according to claim 31,
 wherein the print control unit is configured to automatically execute, in response to fulfillment of a condition that has been set by an instruction input by the log-in user, the automatic report printing.   
     
     
       36. The printing apparatus according to claim 35,
 wherein the fulfillment of the condition is that the storage unit stores a predetermined amount of the history information.
