Abstract

In group-wise interleaving, interleaving of an LDPC code having a code length N of 64800 bits and an encoding rate r of 5/15 is performed in a unit of a bit group of 360 bits. In group-wise deinterleaving, an arrangement of the LDPC code that has undergone group-wise interleaving is returned to an original arrangement. The technology can be applied to a case of transmitting data using the LDPC code. The data processing device and data processing method can ensure excellent communication quality in data transmission using an LDPC code.

       1. A data processing method comprising:

       11. The receiving device according to  claim 7 , wherein the LDPC code word is encoded in accordance with an LDPC having a code length N of 64800 bits and a code rate of 5/15.  
     
     
       12. The receiving device according to  claim 7 , wherein the deinterleaver is further configured to deinterleave the interleaved LDPC code word, in accordance with a parity deinterleaving.  
     
     
       13. The receiving device according to  claim 7 , wherein the deinterleaver is further configured to deinterleave the interleaved LDPC code word, in accordance with a block deinterleaving.  
     
     
       14. The receiving device according to  claim 7 , wherein the digital signal is a digital television broadcast signal.  
     
     
       15. The receiving device according to  claim 7 , wherein the receiving device includes a display and a speaker.  
     
     
       16. The receiving device according to  claim 7 , wherein the receiving device is a television receiver.  
     
     
       17. The receiving device according to  claim 7 , wherein the LDPC decoder is further configured to decode the LDPC code word to obtain the information bits, and
 the receiving device further includes processing circuitry configured to obtain images and sound by information source decoding of the information bits, cause a display to display the obtained images, and cause a speaker to output the obtained sound.    
     
     
       18. A receiving method, comprising:

       20. The receiving method according to  claim 19 , wherein each symbol of the plurality of symbols is mapped in units of 2 bits of a QPSK symbol.  
     
     
       21. The receiving method according to  claim 18 , wherein the interleaved LDPC code word is group-wise interleaved in units of 360 bits.  
     
     
       22. The receiving method according to  claim 18 , wherein the LDPC code word is encoded in accordance with an LDPC having a code length N of 64800 bits and a code rate of 5/15.  
     
     
       23. The receiving method according to  claim 18 , wherein the deinterleaving comprises deinterleaving the interleaved LDPC code word, in accordance with a parity deinterleaving.  
     
     
       24. The receiving method according to  claim 18 , wherein the deinterleaving comprises deinterleaving the interleaved LDPC code word, in accordance with a block deinterleaving.  
     
     
       25. The receiving method according to  claim 18 , wherein the digital signal is a digital television broadcast signal.  
     
     
       26. The receiving method according to  claim 18 , wherein the receiving method further comprises:
 decoding the LDPC code word to obtain the information bits,   obtaining images and sound from information source decoding of the information bits,   displaying the images, and   outputting the sound.    
     
     
       27. A TV receiver, comprising:
