Abstract

A pharmaceutical composition, comprising a GluR2-lacking AMPAR antagonist as an active ingredient, is effective for preventing or treating mental diseases selected from the group consisting of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), drug addiction, and phobia.

1 . A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating mental diseases selected from the group consisting of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), drug addiction, and phobia, comprising a GluR2-lacking AMPAR antagonist as an active ingredient. 
     
     
         2 . The pharmaceutical composition of  claim 1 , wherein the GluR2-lacking AMPAR antagonist is selected from the group consisting of N-naphthylspermine (NASPM), philanthotoxin, Joro spider toxin, and N-(4-hydroxyphenylpropanoyl-spermine (NHPP-spermine). 
     
     
         3 . A use of GluR2-lacking AMPAR antagonist for preventing or treating mental diseases selected from the group consisting of posttraumatic stress disorder, drug addiction, and phobia. 
     
     
         4 . The use of  claim 3 , wherein the GluR2-lacking AMPAR antagonist is selected from the group consisting of N-naphthylspermine, philanthotoxin, Joro spider toxin, and N-(4-hydroxyphenylpropanoyl)-spermine.
