Adjustable frame for excercise device
Abstract
An exercise device includes an adjustable frame and an exercise equipment. The adjustable frame includes a main supporting frame, a handle frame and an adjustable seat assembly. The main supporting frame includes a frame member for facilitating a predetermined exercise type. The a handle frame is supported by the main supporting frame at a position above a first end portion of the frame member, and includes a first handle bar and a plurality of second handle bars. The adjustable seat assembly includes a seat frame having a coupling portion moveably coupled with the main supporting frame, and a seat member mounted on a support portion of the seat frame. By adjustably and movably coupling the seat frame with respect to the main supporting frame, a distance between the seat member and the handle frame can be freely adjusted.

1 . An exercise device comprising an adjustable frame and an exercise equipment supported by said adjustable frame, wherein said adjustable frame comprises:
a main supporting frame which comprises a frame member for facilitating a predetermined exercise type, wherein said frame member has a first end portion and a second end portion; a handle frame which is supported by main supporting frame at a position above said first end portion of said frame member; and an adjustable seat assembly which is adjustably supported by said main supporting frame at a position above said second end portion of said frame member, and comprises: a seat frame having a coupling portion moveably coupled with said main supporting frame; and a seat member mounted on a support portion of said seat frame, wherein by adjustably and movably coupling said seat frame with respect to said main supporting frame, a distance between said seat member and said handle frame is capable of being freely adjusted for fitting different users.
2 . The exercise device, as recited in claim 1 , wherein said handle frame comprises a first handle bar having a transverse portion and two longitudinal portions extended from two ends of said transverse portion for a user's hands to grip thereon respectively so as to allow said user to selectively exercise in a first riding posture, and a pair of second handle bars extended from said first handle bar for said user's hand to grip thereon respectively so as to allow said user to selectively exercise in a second riding posture.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 2 , wherein said handle frame further comprises a supporting member extended from said frame member of said main supporting frame to suspendedly support said first handle bar and said second handle bars at a predetermined elevation above said ground surface.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 3 , wherein said transverse portion and said longitudinal portions of said first handle bar constitute a substantially U-shaped cross sectional shape thereof to define a handle cavity between said transverse portion and said longitudinal portions, wherein a user is arranged to grip on said two longitudinal portions while seating on said seat member, wherein each of said second handle bars is inwardly extended from said longitudinal portion of said first handle bar in said handle cavity.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 3 , wherein said frame member of said main supporting frame further has an elongated coupling slot formed at a second end portion, wherein said coupling portion of said seat frame is adjustably inserted into said elongated coupling slot so as to adjustably couple said seat frame to said main supporting frame.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 4 , wherein said frame member of said main supporting frame further has an elongated coupling slot formed at a second end portion, wherein said coupling portion of said seat frame is adjustably inserted into said elongated coupling slot so as to adjustably couple said seat frame to said main supporting frame.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 5 , wherein said adjustable seat assembly further comprises a securing locker provided on said second end portion of said frame member, and is arranged to penetrate said second end portion to lock up a position of said coupling portion of said seat frame, wherein said adjustable seat assembly further has a plurality of locking holes spacedly formed on said coupling portion of said seat frame, wherein said securing locker is arranged to selectively lock up a position of said seat frame through said corresponding locking hole.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 6 , wherein said adjustable seat assembly further comprises a securing locker provided on said second end portion of said frame member, and is arranged to penetrate said second end portion to lock up a position of said coupling portion of said seat frame, wherein said adjustable seat assembly further has a plurality of locking holes spacedly formed on said coupling portion of said seat frame, wherein said securing locker is arranged to selectively lock up a position of said seat frame through said corresponding locking hole.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 7 , wherein a cross sectional shape of said coupling portion of said seat frame is substantially similar to that of said elongated coupling slot while a cross sectional area of said coupling portion is slightly smaller than that of said elongated coupling slot so that said coupling portion is adapted to slidably connect to said frame member by inserting into said elongated coupling slot.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 8 , wherein a cross sectional shape of said coupling portion of said seat frame is substantially similar to that of said elongated coupling slot while a cross sectional area of said coupling portion is slightly smaller than that of said elongated coupling slot so that said coupling portion is adapted to slidably connect to said frame member by inserting into said elongated coupling slot.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 9 , wherein said seat frame further has an elongated connecting slot formed in said upper end of said support portion, wherein said seat member comprises a seat cushion and a seat connector downwardly extended from said seat cushion, and is arranged to be inserted and slidably moved along said elongated connecting slot so as to adjust said elevation of said seat cushion above said ground surface.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 10 , wherein said seat frame further has an elongated connecting slot formed in said upper end of said support portion, wherein said seat member comprises a seat cushion and a seat connector downwardly extended from said seat cushion, and is arranged to be inserted and slidably moved along said elongated connecting slot so as to adjust said elevation of said seat cushion above said ground surface.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 11 , wherein said adjustable seat assembly further comprises a seat locking device provided on said support portion of said seat frame, and is arranged to penetrate said seat connector to lock up a position of said seat cushion with respect to said ground surface, wherein said seat frame further has a plurality of seat locker holes spacedly formed on said support portion of said seat frame, wherein said seat locking device is arranged to selectively lock up a position of said seat frame through said corresponding seat locker hole.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 12 , wherein said adjustable seat assembly further comprises a seat locking device provided on said support portion of said seat frame, and is arranged to penetrate said seat connector to lock up a position of said seat cushion with respect to said ground surface, wherein said seat frame further has a plurality of seat locker holes spacedly formed on said support portion of said seat frame, wherein said seat locking device is arranged to selectively lock up a position of said seat frame through said corresponding seat locker hole.
15 . The exercise device, as recited in claim 12 , wherein said frame member of said main supporting frame is substantially elongated in structure wherein said first end portion and said second end portion constitute front and rear end portions of said frame member respectively, wherein said main supporting frame further comprises a plurality of leg frames supporting said frame member and said exercise equipment on a ground surface.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 14 , wherein said frame member of said main supporting frame is substantially elongated in structure wherein said first end portion and said second end portion constitute front and rear end portions of said frame member respectively, wherein said main supporting frame further comprises a plurality of leg frames supporting said frame member and said exercise equipment on a ground surface.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 14 , wherein said exercise equipment comprise a bicycle wheel rotatably mounted on said first end portion of said frame member, a plurality of pedals operatively provided on said second end portion of said frame member, and a driving mechanism supported by said frame member for transmitting said movement of pedals into said rotation of said bicycle wheel.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 16 , wherein said exercise equipment comprise a bicycle wheel rotatably mounted on said first end portion of said frame member, a plurality of pedals operatively provided on said second end portion of said frame member, and a driving mechanism supported by said frame member for transmitting said movement of pedals into said rotation of said bicycle wheel.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 6 , wherein said coupling portion of said seat frame has a T-shaped cross section which defines a vertical section and a horizontal section, wherein said horizontal section of said coupling portion of said seat frame is slidably inserted into said coupling slot so as to adjust said position of said seat member, wherein said vertical section of said coupling portion is integrally extended from said support portion while said horizontal section is horizontally extended from said vertical section toward two sides thereof so as to constitute said T-shaped cross section of said coupling portion.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 19 , wherein said adjustable seat assembly further comprises a securing locker provided on said second end portion of said frame member, and is arranged to penetrate said second end portion to lock up a position of said horizontal section of said coupling portion of said seat frame, wherein said frame member further has a plurality of locking holes spacedly formed on said second end portion, wherein said securing locker is arranged to selectively lock up a position of said seat frame through said corresponding locking hole.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 20 , wherein said seat frame further has an elongated connecting slot formed in said upper end of said support portion, wherein said seat member comprises a seat cushion and a seat connector downwardly extended from said seat cushion, and is arranged to be inserted and slidably moved along said elongated connecting slot so as to adjust said elevation of said seat cushion above said ground surface.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 21 , wherein said adjustable seat assembly further comprises a seat locking device provided on said support portion of said seat frame, and is arranged to penetrate said seat connector to lock up a position of said seat cushion with respect to said ground surface, wherein said seat frame further has a plurality of seat locker holes spacedly formed on said support portion of said seat frame, wherein said seat locking device is arranged to selectively lock up a position of said seat frame through said corresponding seat locker hole.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 22 , wherein said exercise equipment comprise a bicycle wheel rotatably mounted on said first end portion of said frame member, a plurality of pedals operatively provided on said second end portion of said frame member, and a driving mechanism supported by said frame member for transmitting said movement of pedals into said rotation of said bicycle wheel.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 4 , wherein said seat frame has a coupling portion pivotally coupled with said main supporting frame, so that by adjustably and pivotally coupling said seat frame with respect to said main supporting frame, said distance between said seat member and said handle frame is capable of being freely adjusted.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 24 , wherein said adjustable seat assembly further comprises a coupling mechanism pivotally coupling said second end portion of said frame member and said coupling portion of said seat frame, so that said seat frame is capable of pivotally moving with respect to said frame member for altering said distance between said seat member and said handle frame.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 25 , wherein said coupling mechanism comprises a first and a second gear unit provided at said second end portion of said frame member and said coupling portion of said seat frame respectively for selectively and pivotally moving said coupling portion with respect to said second end portion.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 26 , wherein said adjustable seat assembly further comprises a seat locking device provided on said support portion of said seat frame, and is arranged to penetrate said seat connector to lock up a position of said seat cushion with respect to said ground surface, wherein said seat frame further has a plurality of seat locker holes spacedly formed on said support portion of said seat frame, wherein said seat locking device is arranged to selectively lock up a position of said seat frame through said corresponding seat locker hole.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 27 , wherein said exercise equipment comprise a bicycle wheel rotatably mounted on said first end portion of said frame member, a plurality of pedals operatively provided on said second end portion of said frame member, and a driving mechanism supported by said frame member for transmitting said movement of pedals into said rotation of said bicycle wheel.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 1 , wherein said handling frame comprises a plurality of handle bars upwardly and spacedly extended from said main supporting frame for allowing a user to grip thereon, wherein said handle bars are arranged to pivotally move with respect to said main supporting frame so as to adjust a distance between said handle bars and said adjustable seat assembly.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 29 , wherein said handling frame further comprises a driving cylinder comprising a first cylindrical member inclinedly mounted on the main supporting frame, and a second cylindrical member having one end portion slidably coupled to the first cylindrical member, and another end portion mounted to the supporting frames of the handling frame, in such a manner that the second cylindrical member is arranged to selectively slide with respect to the first cylindrical member for pivotally moving the supporting frame.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 30 , wherein said frame member of said main supporting frame further has an elongated coupling slot formed at a second end portion, wherein said coupling portion of said seat frame is adjustably inserted into said elongated coupling slot so as to adjustably couple said seat frame to said main supporting frame.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 31 , wherein said adjustable seat assembly further comprises a securing locker provided on said second end portion of said frame member, and is arranged to penetrate said second end portion to lock up a position of said coupling portion of said seat frame, wherein said frame member further has a plurality of locking holes spacedly formed on said second end portion, wherein said securing locker is arranged to selectively lock up a position of said seat frame through said corresponding locking hole.
33 . The exercise device, as recited in claim 32 , wherein said seat frame further has an elongated connecting slot formed in said upper end of said support portion, wherein said seat member comprises a seat cushion and a seat connector downwardly extended from said seat cushion, and is arranged to be inserted and slidably moved along said elongated connecting slot so as to adjust said elevation of said seat cushion above said ground surface.

The exercise device, as recited in claim 33 , wherein said adjustable seat assembly further comprises a seat locking device provided on said support portion of said seat frame, and is arranged to penetrate said seat connector to lock up a position of said seat cushion with respect to said ground surface, wherein said seat frame further has a plurality of seat locker holes spacedly formed on said support portion of said seat frame, wherein said seat locking device is arranged to selectively lock up a position of said seat frame through said corresponding seat locker hole.
35 . The exercise device, as recited in claim 34 , wherein said frame member of said main supporting frame is substantially elongated in structure wherein said first end portion and said second end portion constitute front and rear end portions of said frame member respectively, wherein said main supporting frame further comprises a plurality of leg frames supporting said frame member and said exercise equipment on a ground surface.
36 . The exercise device, as recited in claim 35 , wherein said exercise equipment comprise a bicycle wheel rotatably mounted on said first end portion of said frame member, a plurality of pedals operatively provided on said second end portion of said frame member, and a driving mechanism supported by said frame member for transmitting said movement of pedals into said rotation of said bicycle wheel.
37 . The exercise device, as recited in claim 18 , wherein said handle frame further comprises a plurality of auxiliary handle bars upwardly and movably extended from said main supporting frame, wherein a distance between said auxiliary handle bars and said adjustable seat assembly is selectively adjustable.Cited by (0)
