Abstract
Aspects of this disclosure relate to a computer configured to identify potential customers which may include a processor and memory storing computer executable instructions that, when executed, cause the computer to perform a method for identifying potential customers for a first bank, by electronically receiving data regarding the first bank, electronically receiving data regarding a second bank. Further, based on the electronically received data the method may further include identifying locations of the first bank, identifying locations of the second bank, comparing the locations of the first bank with the locations of the second bank, determining locations of the second bank that are within a predetermined distance of at least one location of the first bank, determining an amount of funds in a set of deposit accounts in each location of the second bank, and determining if the amount of funds in each location of the second bank is more than a predetermined amount.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A computer configured to identify potential customers, comprising:
a processor; and memory storing computer executable instructions that, when executed, cause the computer to perform a method for identifying potential customers for a first bank, by:
electronically receiving data regarding the first bank;
electronically receiving data regarding a second bank;
based on the electronically received data:
identifying locations of the first bank;
identifying locations of the second bank;
comparing the locations of the first bank with the locations of the second bank;
determining locations of the second bank that are within a predetermined distance of at least one location of the first bank;
determining an amount of funds in a set of deposit accounts in each location of the second bank;
determining if the amount of funds in each location of the second bank is more than a predetermined amount; and
identifying financial accounts of the first bank that have been paid using a deposit account of the second bank that is in a location within the predetermined distance of at least one location of the first bank and the amount of funds in the set of deposit accounts at the location of the second bank is more than the predetermined amount;
electronically receiving data for customers associated with the identified financial accounts; and
compiling a list of customers associated with the identified financial accounts.
2 . The computer according to claim 1 , wherein the method for identifying potential customers further comprises:
identifying addresses for the customers associated with the identified financial accounts.
3 . The computer according to claim 2 , wherein the method for identifying potential customers further comprises:
defining overlapping zones wherein an address of a location of the first bank is within a predetermined distance of at least one address of the set of locations of the second bank; comparing the address associated with the customer with the overlapping zones; determining if the address associated with the customer is within a second predetermined distance of one of the overlapping zones.
4 . The computer according to claim 3 , wherein the method for identifying potential customers further comprises:
compiling a list of customers who are associated with the identified financial accounts and whose addresses are within the second predetermined distance of at least one of the overlapping zones.
5 . The computer according to claim 4 , wherein the address associated with the customer is a home address for the customer.
6 . The computer according to claim 4 , wherein the address associated with the customer is an address for the customer's place of employment.

The computer according to claim 1 , wherein the method for identifying potential customers includes defining geographic areas and prioritizing geographic areas in which to market goods or services based on the amount of funds in deposit accounts of the branches of the second bank that are in the geographic areas.
8 . The computer according to claim 1 , wherein the method for identifying potential customers further comprises:
determining an income level of the customers associated with the identified financial accounts.
9 . The computer according to claim 1 , wherein the method for identifying potential customers further comprises:
determining a type of the financial account held by the customers associated with the identified financial accounts.
10 . A method for identifying potential customers for a first bank, comprising:
electronically receiving data regarding the first bank; electronically receiving data regarding a second bank; based on the electronically received data:
identifying locations of the first bank;
identifying locations of the second bank;
comparing the locations of the first bank with the locations of the second bank;
identifying, based on the comparing, locations of the second bank that are within a predetermined distance of at least one location of the first bank;
determining an amount of funds in a set of deposit accounts in each location of the second bank;
determining if the amount of funds in each location of the second bank is more than a predetermined amount; and
identifying financial accounts of the first bank that have been paid using a deposit account of the second bank that is in a location within the predetermined distance of at least one location of the first bank and the amount of funds in the set of deposit accounts at the location of the second bank is more than the predetermined amount;
electronically receiving data for customers associated with the identified financial accounts; and compiling a list of customers associated with the identified financial accounts.
11 . The method of claim 10 , further including:
identifying addresses for the customers associated with the identified financial accounts.
12 . The method of claim 11 , further including:
defining overlapping zones wherein an address of a location of the first bank is within a predetermined distance of at least one address of the set of locations of the second bank; comparing the address associated with the customer with the overlapping zones; determining if the address associated with the customer is within a second predetermined distance of one of the overlapping zones.
13 . The method of claim 12 , further including:
compiling a list of customers who are associated with the identified financial accounts and whose addresses are within the second predetermined distance of at least one of the overlapping zones.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the address associated with the customer is a home address for the customer.
15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the address associated with the customer is an address for the customer's place of employment.
16 . The method of claim 10 , further including defining geographic areas and prioritizing geographic areas in which to market goods or services based on the amount of funds in deposit accounts of the branches of the second bank that are in the geographic areas.
17 . The method of claim 10 , further including:
determining an income level of the customers associated with the identified financial accounts.
18 . The method of claim 10 , further including:
determining a type of the financial account held by the customers associated with the identified financial accounts.
19 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed, cause a computing device to:
identify potential customers for a first bank, by:
electronically receiving data regarding the first bank;
electronically receiving data regarding a second bank;
based on the electronically received data:
identifying locations of the first bank;
identifying locations of the second bank;
comparing the locations of the first bank with the locations of the second bank;
determining locations of the second bank that are within a predetermined distance of at least one location of the first bank;
determining an amount of funds in a set of deposit accounts in each location of the second bank;
determining if the amount of funds in each location of the second bank is more than a predetermined amount; and
identifying financial accounts of the first bank that have been paid using a deposit account of the second bank that is in a location within the predetermined distance of at least one location of the first bank and the amount of funds in the set of deposit accounts at the location of the second bank is more than the predetermined amount;
electronically receiving data for customers associated with the identified financial accounts; and
compiling a list of customers associated with the identified financial accounts.
20 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 19 , further including:
defining overlapping zones wherein an address of a location of the first bank is within a predetermined distance of at least one address of the set of locations of the second bank; comparing the address associated with the customer with the overlapping zones; determining if the address associated with the customer is within a second predetermined distance of one of the overlapping zones.Cited by (0)
