Abstract
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for redacting sensitive information. Certain systems include a speech-to-text converter for converting a vocal stream to text, a text analysis module for automatically analyzing the text and identifying sensitive information in accordance with a plurality of rules, and identifying the location of the sensitive information in the vocal stream, and a multi-level redactor for redacting sensitive information from the vocal stream in accordance with the plurality of the rules.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A machine to perform operations for multi-level redaction of vocal streams, comprising:
a speech-to-text converter for converting a vocal stream to text; a text analysis module for automatically analyzing the text and identifying sensitive information in accordance with a plurality of rules, and identifying the location of the sensitive information in the vocal stream; and a multi-level redactor for redacting sensitive information from the vocal stream in accordance with the plurality of the rules.
2 . The machine of claim 1 , wherein the redactor redacts the sensitive information from the text in accordance with one or more first rules and archives the redacted text.
3 . The machine of claim 2 , wherein the redactor redacts the sensitive information from the archived redacted text in accordance with one or more second rules and archives the further redacted text.
4 . The machine of claim 1 , wherein the rules for identifying sensitive information comprise contextual analysis to identify information that is at least one of private, PCI sensitive, PII, protected by lawyer/client privilege and protected by doctor/patient privilege.
5 . The machine of claim 1 , wherein the redactor redacts the sensitive information from the text in a multi-step process during which a different rule is applied at each step.
6 . The machine of claim 1 , further comprising, a cache for caching the input vocal stream.
7 . A tangible article of manufacture having instructions stored thereon that, when executed, cause a machine to perform operations for multi-level redaction of vocal streams, comprising:
converting a vocal stream to text; automatically analyzing the text with a text analysis module and identifying sensitive information in accordance with one or more first rules; identifying the location of the sensitive information in the vocal stream; redacting the sensitive information from the vocal stream; storing the redacted vocal stream and the text; analyzing the stored text and identifying sensitive information in accordance with one or more second rules; identifying the location of the sensitive information in the text; redacting the sensitive information from the stored vocal stream; and storing the further redacted vocal stream and the text.
8 . The tangible article of manufacture of claim 7 , wherein the rules for identifying sensitive information comprise contextual analysis to identify information that is at least one of private, PCI sensitive, PII, protected by lawyer/client privilege and protected by doctor/patient privilege.
9 . The tangible article of manufacture of claim 7 , further comprising, caching the input vocal stream before converting.
10 . A machine to perform operations for multi-level redaction of an incoming communication, comprising:
a text analysis module for automatically analyzing the text of the incoming communication and identifying sensitive information in accordance with a plurality of rules, and identifying the location of the sensitive information in the communication; and a multi-level redactor for redacting sensitive information from the communication in accordance with the plurality of the rules.
11 . The machine of claim 10 , wherein the redactor redacts the sensitive information from the text in accordance with one or more first rules and archives the redacted text.
12 . The machine of claim 11 , wherein the redactor redacts the sensitive information from the archived redacted text in accordance with one or more second rules and archives the further redacted text.
13 . The machine of claim 10 , wherein the rules for identifying sensitive information comprise contextual analysis to identify information that is at least one of private, PCI sensitive, PII, protected by lawyer/client privilege and protected by doctor/patient privilege.
14 . The machine of claim 10 , wherein the redactor redacts the sensitive information from the text in a multi-step process during which a different rule is applied at each step.
15 . The machine of claim 10 , further comprising, a cache for caching the incoming communication.
16 . A tangible article of manufacture having instructions stored thereon that, when executed, cause a machine to perform operations for multi-level redaction of a communication, comprising:
automatically analyzing the communication with a text analysis module and identifying sensitive information in accordance with one or more first rules; identifying the location of the sensitive information in the communication; redacting the sensitive information from the communication; storing the redacted communication; analyzing the stored redacted communication and identifying sensitive information in accordance with one or more second rules; identifying the location of the sensitive information in the stored redacted communication; redacting the sensitive information from the stored redacted communication; and storing the further redacted communication.
17 . The tangible article of manufacture of claim 16 , wherein the rules for identifying sensitive information comprise contextual analysis to identify information that is at least one of private, PCI sensitive, PII, protected by lawyer/client privilege and protected by doctor/patient privilege.
18 . The tangible article of manufacture of claim 16 , further comprising, caching the input communication before analyzing.Cited by (0)
