Abstract
A camera module and array camera module with circuit board unit and photosensitive unit and manufacturing method thereof is provided. The array camera module includes two or more camera lenses and a circuit unit. The circuit unit includes a circuit board portion for electrically connecting two or more photosensitive sensors of the array camera module, and a conjoined encapsulation portion integrally encapsulated on the circuit board portion. The camera lenses are respectively arranged along the photosensitive paths of the photosensitive sensors.

21 . A camera module, comprising:
a camera lens; and a photosensitive unit, comprising an encapsulation portion and a photosensitive portion that comprises a main circuit board, at least one connecting element and a photosensitive sensor coupled on the main circuit board, wherein the photosensitive sensor has a photosensitive area and a non-photosensitive area, wherein the at least one connecting element electrically connects the non-photosensitive area of the photosensitive sensor and the main circuit board, wherein the encapsulation portion is integrally molded on the main circuit board and has a window corresponding to the photosensitive sensor so as to provide the photosensitive sensor a light path thereof; a frame mounted on the photosensitive unit, wherein the camera lens is mounted on the frame; and an optical filter mounted on the frame, and the optical filter is located on the light path of the photosensitive sensor.
22 . The camera module, as recited in claim 21 , wherein the optical filter overlaps with and covers on the photosensitive area of the photosensitive sensor, wherein the encapsulation portion wraps up the at least one connecting element, so as to avoid the at least one connecting element from being directly exposed to the outside.
23 . The camera module, as recited in claim 21 , wherein the encapsulation portion has an inclined inner wall forming a concave shaped window which is positioned below the optical filter to provide a light path of the photosensitive sensor, wherein the inclined inner wall of the encapsulation portion is formed integrally through a molding process, wherein the window reduces a size thereof gradually towards the optical filter.

The camera module, as recited in claim 21 , wherein the encapsulation portion is integrally molded at the non-photosensitive area of the photosensitive sensor and the main circuit board to affix the optical filter on top of the photosensitive sensor and to enclose the connecting element within the encapsulation portion, such that the connecting element is secured between the main circuit board and the non-photosensitive area of the photosensitive sensor adjacent to the optical filter.
25 . The camera module, as recited in claim 21 , wherein the encapsulation portion is molded to extend to the non-photosensitive area of the photosensitive sensor, wherein a moldable area of the encapsulation portion is extended inwardly so as to reduce a size of the encapsulation portion.
26 . The camera module, as recited in claim 21 , wherein one or more reinforced holes are formed on top of the main circuit board and the bottom of the encapsulation portion is molded to extend into the reinforced holes.
27 . The camera module, as recited in claim 26 , wherein the reinforced holes are indented slots that avoid the molding material of the encapsulation portion from leaking through the reinforced holes when molding to make the photosensitive unit.
28 . The camera module, as recited in claim 21 , further includes:
a motor unit; wherein the photosensitive unit includes a motor connecting structure or connecting to the motor unit, and the motor unit has at least one motor terminal.
29 . The camera module, as recited in claim 28 , wherein the motor connecting structure includes at least one lead elements, and each lead element is connected to the motor unit and the main circuit board, and each lead element is electrically connected to the main circuit board.
30 . The camera module, as recited in claim 29 , wherein the lead element is electrically connected to a connecting circuit of the main circuit board, and the lead element is deployed in the encapsulation portion and extended to the top of the encapsulation portion, and the lead element includes at least a motor coupling terminal exposed on top of the encapsulation portion for being electrically connected to the motor terminal of the motor unit.
31 . An array camera module, comprising:
at least two camera lenses, and a circuit unit which comprises:
at least two photosensitive sensors,
a circuit board portion electrically connects the at least two photosensitive sensors thereon,
a conjoined encapsulation portion integrally molded on the circuit board portion while the camera lenses are positioned in photosensitive paths of the at least two photosensitive sensors respectively, and a frame mounted on the conjoined encapsulation portion, wherein the at least two camera lenses are mounted on the frame; and at least two optical filter mounted on the frame, and the at least two optical filter is located on the light path of the photosensitive sensor.
32 . The array camera module, as recited in claim 31 , wherein the frame is a platform having two windows provided therein and adapted to install the at least two optical filters thereon while enabling light passing through at least two windows formed by the conjoined encapsulation portion and the frame to reach the photosensitive sensors respectively.
33 . The array camera module, as recited in claim 31 , wherein the frame is a conjoined frame to have a plurality of the optical filters installed thereon.
34 . The array camera module, as recited in claim 31 , wherein the frame includes a plurality of single frame having only one optical filter installed thereon.
35 . The array camera module, as recited in claim 31 , further includes at least two motor connecting structures, each of which comprises at least a connecting element, wherein the connecting elements are mounted in the conjoined encapsulation portion and electrically connected with the circuit board portion.
36 . The array camera module, as recited in claim 31 , wherein the conjoined encapsulation portion forms at least two windows therein, wherein the at least two windows are positioned above and aligned with the at least two photosensitive sensors respectively so as to provide at least two lights paths between the at least two camera lenses and the at least two photosensitive sensors respectively.
37 . The array camera module, as recited in claim 31 , wherein the circuit board portion comprises at least one circuit element protruded from the circuit board portion, wherein the conjoined encapsulation portion encapsulates and wraps up the circuit element so as to prevent the circuit element from being directly exposed to the outside.
38 . The array camera module, as recited in claim 31 , wherein each of the connecting elements comprises a motor coupling end revealed on the conjoined encapsulation portion adapted for connecting a motor terminal.
39 . The array camera module, as recited in claim 31 , wherein each of motor connecting structures further comprises at least a terminal slot, wherein the terminal slot is provided in a top portion of the conjoined encapsulation portion, wherein the connecting element comprises a motor coupling end wiring on a bottom wall so as to allow a motor terminal to electrically connect with the motor coupling end when pluggingly engaging with the terminal slot.
40 . The array camera module, as recited in claim 31 , wherein the connecting element comprises at least a terminal slot and at least a circuit junction, wherein the circuit junction is electrically connected with the circuit board portion, wherein the terminal slot is provided in the conjoined encapsulation portion and extended from the circuit board portion to a top portion of the conjoined encapsulation portion, wherein the circuit junction is revealed at the terminal slot, so as to allow a motor terminal to electrically connect with the circuit junction when pluggingly engaging with the terminal slot.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
