Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for parallel access to an electronic design automation (EDA) application. The computer receives a request to access an electronic design automation (EDA) application from at least two user computing device and authenticates a user associated with each of the requests from the at least two user computing devices to access the EDA application. The computer determines a level of access to be granted to each of the user of the at least two user computing devices and creates a parallel connection to each of the at least user computing device based on the determined level of access granted to each of the users. The computer retrieves data to be transmitted to each of the at least user computing device to be displayed on each of the user computing devices and stores the data in a memory unit.

1 . A method comprising:
receiving, by a computer, a request to access an electronic design automation (EDA) application from at least two user computing devices; authenticating, by the computer, each user associated with each of the requests from the at least two user computing devices to access the EDA application; determining when authenticated users of the at least two user computing devices are granted access to the EDA and determining what type of access each of the users of each of the at least two user computing devices are allowed; creating, by the computer, parallel connections to each of the at least two user computing devices from the EDA application, wherein the parallel connection is created using a threading process, the parallel connection being created using a communication module and/or web-sockets creating a web-socket server to connect the EDA analysis application to the at least two user computing devices; allowing, each of the at least two user computing devices of authenticated users, access to the EDA at the same time for concurrent access to data collected by the EDA, the at least two user computing devices having the concurrent access by being connected in parallel to the web-socket server; granting, each of the at least two user computing devices of authenticated users, a level of access based on the type of access allowed; retrieving, by the computer, chip data collected by the EDA, wherein the chip data collected by the EDA includes data about chip frequency, functional correctness verification, signal integrity, static power, dynamic power, peak power, and average power; transmitting, by the computer, to each of the at least two user computing devices, respectively, the retrieved chip data collected by the EDA; receiving, by the computer, a script from a first one of the at least two user computing devices that is used to analyzed the retrieved chip data collected by the EDA; and transmitting, by the computer, the script to a second one of the at least two user computing devices, so that the second one of the at least two user computing devices can utilize the script to analyze the retrieved chip data collected by the EDA.
